On the morning of 21th Sep 2015, hold by Academy of Art and Design of Tsinghua university , China Sculpture Institute and China Literature and Art Foundation, Movement•Action the 1st Chinese International Kinetic Sculpture Exhibition was solemnly opened in Visual Art Center of Tsinghua University. With the theme of exhibition integrated technology and sculptural arts, it is an unprecedented special exhibition to attempt to show the dynamic sculptural arts by works, videos and seminars. 33 pieces of outstanding domestic and international works and nearly 40 pieces of video concerning sculpture were display in the exhibition, which arose the interests of viewers and audients attended in the exhibition.

Sundan ,vice president of Academy of Art and Design of Tsinghua University , Sun Zhenhua, vice president of China Sculpture Institute and president of Shenzhen Sculpture Academy and host for Movement•Action the 1st Chinese International Kinetic Sculpture Exhibition. Wang Shaojun, deputy party secretary of Central Academy of Fine Art. Yang Jianping, vice president of China Sculpture Institute and vice president ofcollegeofFine Art,ShanghaiUniversity. Yin Xiaofeng, Minister of Business Development for China Sculpture Institute and the director for professor committee of Fine Art Academy of Northeast Normal University. Longxiang, vice president of China Sculpture Institute. the director of Sculptural Department of China Academy of Fine Art and Italian architect Italo•Rota ,as well as 60 invited guests showed up in the opening ceremony ,it also attracted the attention of teachers and students from Tsinghua University and art lovers and medium to attend in the exhibition.

The theme of the exhibition is action and movement, which fully interprets the conception of dynamic sculpture and relevant conception of artistic creations, movement represents worlds without mankind such as nature and environments, nature is a kind of basement for exploration of sciences and of arts; action represents human thought and wisdom as well as conceptions of art works, “movement and action” isn’t only the external form of the dynamic sculpture, but it also symbolizes human spirit to do practice and exploration.

President Lu made a speech about the significant of this exhibition: integration of arts and sciences is served as a way of following the principle of teaching idea of Tsinghua University , it is also a hot issue drew attentions from all over the world ,with the trends of times ,the progress of technology and the advancement of society , sculpture was transform from static and monotonous materials to dynamic and comprehensive materials ,it will be developed into multiple directions of media interactions, we believe and anticipate that this exhibition and seminar would promote the prosperity of arts, the development of subjects and the cultivation of talents. 

As a curator of exhibition, Zeng Chenggang summarize three purposes of exhibition , firstly , to display the fruitful results artists have got in dynamic sculptural fields and to popularize the conception of dynamic sculpture to the publics. secondly , to promote communications and cooperation between academies in Tsinghua university, then to learn the successful experiences from one another and to discuss and solve the problem we encountered in the artistic exploration, lastly, we do hope that all artists work together to promote the development of dynamic sculpture arts.

On the afternoon of 21th Sep 2015, artists, scholars and artists worked in the relevant filed hold a seminar with a theme of "background, teaching and practice of china dynamic sculpture", Doc Sun Zhenhua was served as a host for the seminar.  Li Duozhuang, the executive director for China Region of International Dynamic Art Organization. Zhao Jingshan, associate professor of mechanical engineering department ofTsinghuaUniversity. Shi Danqing, professor of Department of Information Art & Design ofTsinghuaUniversity. Chen Hui, associate professor of sculpture department ofAcademyofArtand Design of Tsinghua University. Tangjie, sculptors from sculpture department of LuXun Academy of Fine Arts, Dengyue, professor of the department of arts of Southwest Jiaotong University. They were invited to attend to the seminar. Luo Xiaoping, professor fromcollegeofFine Art,ShanghaiUniversitymade a speech on the current situation of subject, of the instruction and of artistic creation, with audiences and viewers involved in, the atmosphere in the seminar was extremely warm.

Arts and science seem to have nothing to do with each other, but actually they are never separated. As the middle of the 19th century French writer Gustave Flaubert once remarked: "arts becomes more and more scientific, science gets more and more artistic, they are both break up in the foothills of the mountains, and they must be meet at the top of the hill once again some days. The dynamic sculpture exhibition and seminar will play an important part for promoting the development of contemporary Chinese sculpture, and fulfilling the dynamic sculpture into public space and the popularizing the recognition of dynamic sculpture to the publics.
